CORINNE BAILEY RAE

RELEASES HER FIRST CHILDREN'S PICTURE BOOK

PUT YOUR RECORDS ON

New York, NY - March 3, 2026

Today, Corinne Bailey Rae, the Grammy® Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician, releases her debut children's picture book Put Your Records On through Rocky Pond Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers. The book is available everywhere books are sold.

To celebrate the release, Bailey Rae will appear at two book events in New York City. She will appear at Barnes & Noble Park Slope in Brooklyn and at Kaufman Music Center in Manhattan. Each event will feature pre-signed books and opportunities for photos, with the Kaufman Music Center appearance also including a special two-song performance.

Inspired by her award-winning hit song and featuring magical illustrations by Gillian Eilidh O'Mara, Put Your Records On celebrates the emotional resonance of music and the power of song to transform any moment - offering comfort, joy, and inspiration like a trusted friend.

The story follows a young girl named Bea whose world expands when her great aunt Portia introduces her to a treasured record collection hidden in the attic. Together they listen, dance, and laugh through a range of songs, leaving Bea inspired to continue discovering herself and the world around her through music.

Bailey Rae said, "When I was a child, music helped me find myself. Through songs I discovered that others felt what I felt. Playing music grew my confidence and writing and performing my own music allowed me to fully express myself. I want every child to know that they have music in their heart and a voice that should be heard."

Lauri Hornik, President and Publisher of Rocky Pond Books, added, "Corinne Bailey Rae is a singular talent, including now as a picture book author - her lovely story speaks volumes about the importance of both music and family to comfort and inspire."

Illustrator Gillian Eilidh O'Mara was born and raised in Scotland. A self-taught artist with a master's degree from the University of St. Andrews, she has illustrated several children's books including The Night Whale by Bryher Mackenzie. She has also co-founded several social ventures including a poetry festival, children's literacy projects, and a tea company supporting girls' education. She lives in Durham, England with her two daughters and their dog.

Alongside the book release, Bailey Rae is celebrating 20 years since the release of her groundbreaking self-titled debut album. To mark the milestone she recently announced her anniversary tour, "Like a Star: Celebrating 20 Years of Corinne Bailey Rae," which will make 23 stops across the United States, the United Kingdom, Hungary, and the Netherlands.

During the tour Bailey Rae will perform the 4x-platinum album Corinne Bailey Rae in its entirety, revisiting the project that introduced global hits such as "Put Your Records On" and "Like A Star."

The album debuted at number one in the United Kingdom and reached number four in the United States, helping define the modern alternative R&B movement. "Put Your Records On" has surpassed one billion streams worldwide.

Across her career Bailey Rae has released four critically acclaimed studio albums, sold more than ten million albums globally, and earned two GRAMMY Awards along with multiple MOBO Awards, Mercury Prize nominations, and a BET Award for Best International Act.
